Two Facilities, One Mission
Today, we are proud to operate two cutting-edge facilities in the Noon Division, each designed to meet the specific needs of the communities we serve. This expansion represents a significant milestone in our journey — transforming our vision of health equity and educational access into a tangible reality.
Every EHFAF facility is built with a dual purpose: to provide high-quality health services and to serve as a center for education and community empowerment. Our infrastructure projects are complete, and both centers are now fully operational, delivering life-saving care and life-changing education to rural Cameroon.

The Medical Center Bangourain is a fully equipped primary and secondary care facility designed to meet the diverse health needs of the population. Our core services include:

- Maternal & Child Health — antenatal care, safe delivery services, postnatal care, and child wellness programs
- Emergency & Trauma Care — 24/7 emergency services for injuries and acute medical conditions

The EHFAF Teaching Medical and Imagery Center in Foumbot is a state-of-the-art facility that serves a dual purpose. It is both a fully equipped medical imaging center providing advanced diagnostic services to the community, and a teaching hospital that trains the next generation of healthcare professionals. The center was built on a simple belief: that accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. By combining cutting-edge imaging technology with high-quality education, we are transforming healthcare delivery in the Noon Division and beyond.
Medical Imagery Services
Our medical imaging department is equipped with modern technology to provide accurate, timely diagnostics for patients across the region.
Ultrasound Imaging
- Obstetric and gynecological ultrasound for maternal and fetal health
- Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound for diagnosing internal conditions
- Vascular ultrasound for assessing blood flow and circulation
- Musculoskeletal ultrasound for joint and soft tissue evaluation
X-Ray & Radiography
- Chest X-rays for respiratory conditions including tuberculosis and pneumonia
- Skeletal X-rays for fractures, dislocations, and bone diseases
- Abdominal X-rays for digestive system issues
- Dental X-rays for oral health assessment
Mammography
- Breast cancer screening for early detection
- Diagnostic mammography for women with symptoms or risk factors
- Follow-up imaging to monitor existing breast health concerns

The EHFAF University Institute: Training the Next Generation
At the heart of the Foumbot center is our university institute, offering specialized training in medical imaging and radiology — designed to address the critical shortage of trained imaging professionals in rural Cameroon.
Why This Matters
In many rural areas, patients travel for hours — or even days — to access basic imaging services. This delay often results in late diagnoses and poor health outcomes. By training local students in medical imaging, we are creating a sustainable, local solution.
Our Imaging Education Programs
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology — covering ultrasound, X-ray, and basic radiology
- Certificate in Ultrasound Imaging — specialized training in obstetric, abdominal, and vascular ultrasound
- Continuing Education — short courses and workshops for practicing healthcare professionals
- Clinical Rotations — hands-on training in our fully equipped imaging center

Our institute was created with a specific mission: to provide very high-quality education to youths from rural communities who cannot afford to get to expensive universities in cities or out of the country.
