EHFAF was founded in 2009 by Ntogwiachu Daniel, a critical care nurse who witnessed firsthand the devastating health disparities between urban and rural Cameroon. While working in well-equipped city hospitals, Daniel saw that patients from rural areas often arrived too late, too sick, or not at all, no nearby facilities, no clean water, no preventive care.

Determined to act, he established EHFAF as a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious, and non-racial/ethnic entity. The mission was simple yet profound: complement the government and private health systems by filling critical gaps where they exist.

For over a decade, EHFAF worked through community networks and mobile clinics. In 2020, the Ministry of Public Health granted authorization to establish a permanent, state-of-the-art health facility. In August 2022, the doors of EHFAF’s first community health center opened in Noon Division, a milestone that transformed rural healthcare delivery.
